Extreme caution cheaprshopping.com

I was looking for a mobile phone, and http://cheaprshopping.com has what it seems the best deal on that phone. However browsing around its webpage, it seems they do not have any contact details, telephone and address and also lack any sort of UK shop number that is used by legitimate online shops. I don't want to accuse them falsely but this website does seem rather dangerous to do business with. I would suggest to stay away, unless there is some proof for the opposite (that they are operating legitimately) Also a simple whois request on the website shows that it is about one month old. http://whois.domaintools.com/cheaprshopping.com http://who.godaddy.com/whoischeck.aspx?domain=CHEAPRSHOPPING.COM Not very reassuring in my experience...

  1. Agreed- I came across the same site and the same phone some hours ago- very suspicious. Have a look at the Terms of Business Limitations-

    4. Limitations

In no event shall our company or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption,) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on our Internet site, even if we or an authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage. Our company does not engage in the selling of tangible products and the information presented in this site should only be used for educational purposes. No credit card information is gathered, stored, or processed. Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you.

They dont sell tangible products? Is this normal?

  2. Agreed- I came across this web site (and phone) recently and it appears very suspicious. I requested a stock update and never heard anything. I found this clause in Terms of Service:

    4. Limitations

Our company does not engage in the selling of tangible products and the information presented in this site should only be used for educational purposes.

    Is this normal????

  3. Hi Chris, to my experience fake shopping websites copy and paste their information from other legitimate websites. So I cannot really comment comment on this. However having an online shop advertising tangible goods without actually selling tangible goods seems contradictory to say the least. As I said, stay away for peace of mind
